¶ Delegated Access
Delegated access allows you to authorize users who are present in other accounts on the IoT Bridge to access your account. This is useful to grant access to a systems integrator who may require access to multiple accounts for their various customers.
Users granted access will have access according to the delegated role assigned to them.
Warning, granting another user administrator access (ie the
admin) role will give them control over your account, including removing your own access rights.
Users must already exist to be granted delegated access. If a user does not exist, then you can create a new user for the person who needs access to the IoT Bridge.
¶ Before you begin
You should understand users and roles before using delegated access rules.
¶ Delegated Access List
- Email address: Email address of the user.
- First name: First name of the user.
- Last name: Last name of the user.
- Role: User's assigned role, possible values are
admin,regular, orview. - Last Login: Time when the user last logged into the system.
- Actions: Actions that can be taken upon the user. Deleting a user immediately terminates any and all sessions and they can no longer access the API or Control Center.
